We at Horizon Lighting hope that you and your loved ones remain healthy and safe during this unprecedented health pandemic.

As you well know, due to California’s Safer at Home orders, this health pandemic has also evolved into a devastating economic crisis as well.  Understanding that there are both health and economic concerns with continued lighting maintenance, it is important for us to share our perspective on both issues.

On the issue of health, please know that we take the health of our employees and customers very seriously.  We will not jeopardize our employees’ or customers’ health at any time.  To that end, before coming on property, Horizon promises our employees are not sick, nor have symptoms associated with coronavirus. Our employees are subject to daily body temperature checks, are required to practice physical distancing, and wear gloves and masks at all times. Please let us know if there are any special instructions for us to incorporate to protect the health of our employees and your residents/tenants during our lighting maintenance inspections.

On the economic issue, it is always paramount for a property manager to protect both property and people. Lighting is one of those essential areas that protects both.  Now, more than ever, is the time to ensure that your properties are safely illuminated. With so many residents and children home due to the Safer at Home orders; foot traffic within communities/properties has increased substantially. An increase in home-bound people coupled with a decrease in lighting maintenance could spell disaster. Unfortunately, especially in hard economic times, liability and litigation are commonplace when a property is not adequately maintained. The small amount one would spend on lighting maintenance substantially outweighs the high cost and risk associated with litigation.  The saying “a penny wise or a pound foolish” perfectly summarizes this cost-benefit analysis.

As lighting maintenance is essential, please contact us so we can explain the benefits of this important service. Our contracts can be customized to your needs. We highly recommend monthly visits; however, you may also choose bi-weekly or quarterly visits with rates adjusted accordingly. During our lighting maintenance inspections, we will replace any lamp outages and look for other electrical and/or lighting maintenance issues that may need to be addressed. Our technicians are uniformed, professional, licensed and certified. Horizon’s large fleet of vehicles proudly display our logo and come stocked with all necessary lamps, therefore avoiding the need for return visits. Your lighting outages will be taken care of on the spot; thus, allowing you to concentrate your time on other matters.

Please contact us for a “no contact” proposal. We will walk your property and provide a proposal electronically while you work safely from home. We hope to hear from you soon. Until then, stay safe.
